Turning a Lease car in early to buy CLK 550
When negotiating the terms of a CLK 550 i understand to make the deals separate - new car and trade in.
But when the trade in is a lease that has 7 months left, does the dealer need the VIN number to give me a price on the vehicle or are they looking to see who financed the vehicle to see what my balance is so they can offer a deal to make additional profit on the trade in side?
The trade in is a Cayenne (6 cylinder) with Navigation, Brand new tires ( 3 weeks old) no sunroof, no accident, but basic dings , etc.
Thoughts?
Thank you guys.

When I tried breaking my lease the dealer wanted to inspect my car first. Then they would give me a quote and I had to pay the balance in lease payments. Its basically equal to just keeping the car for the remainder of your lease, just with breaking it you have to pay it up front. Or you can buy your leased car and then sell it seperately.
