accident issues : flared fenders

Got rear ended at around 10-15 mph when i was at a stop. I knocked into the car in front of me which was also stopped.

Rear bumper was cracked on the upper portion in half (the long way) and front bumper was barley scratched except my license plate took a beating.

I went to 2 dealers to get an estimate and they are saying my rear fenders have a crease in them over the wheel wells.

ANyone else experience this and any other problems associated with flared out fenders from an accident? Is my frame bent?

thanks

The crease is probably a result of the crumple zone designed to absorb the energy from an impact so you don't get killed. The crumple zone is a safety feature Mercedes pioneered. Can't say if the frame is bent, you should probably have it looked at by the body shop.

yeah i get the crumple zone but at only 10mph?? that sucks...hopefully it'll only be cosmetic.
