Speed Pulse on 2003 CLK

Well I think I have exhausted all the speed pulse material on this site and am hoping someone can help me?

I have installed the pioneer avic-d3 unit (very nice as an aftermarket third party sat nav) and was wanting to wire up the speed pulse.
Just need to know where it is thats all, I understand that this is converted into the Merc-bus wires and no use to me there unless I purchase an extra box which I found in google that gives you Speed Pulse, Lighting wire and Acc 12v on wire. Well I tapped in to the 12v on ignition and lighting from other sources so really dont want to shell out £130 on this box to give me a speed pulse signal if it is in the vehicle somewhere else?
Shame it wasnt on pin 1 of the ISO A connector like the good old days

If you haven't already, another place you can ask for info is http://avic411.com

I've never seen a post by anyone that said you could get a speed pulse from an MB without the "box".

Great thanks for the site info, I will go have a look now.

I think its looking like a purchase on a canbus interface now by the sounds of it a place in derby do them at £79 so not too bad i guess.
