Two Map Questions
I have two really stupid questions, but I can't find the answers and believe it or not, the guys at the dealer didn't know the answers either. I have a 2004 CLK320 with the CD-ROM based Nav system.
1. Different segments of the same road change colors as I drive. Sometime they are green, red, grey. Is this suppose to mean something? One guy told me it was traffic congestion, but I don't have the phone connection, so I am not sure if that is correct.
2. I live in the DC metro area. Whenever I plan a route, the system refuses to use I-66. In fact, if I am on I-66 it shows me on it, has the name correct but won't actually give me any navigation information until I get off of it. It doesn't matter if I plan the route while I am on it or before I get on it.
I have all of the settings correct, Shortest Route, Highway etc..
Any advice would be appreciated,

I still can't figure this out, so I thought I would take some photos and show everyone what is going on. Basically, within the DC metro area, my Nav system knows the road I am on, but shuts down the route until I get off that road. Once I exit, it picks up and calculates a new route.
I figured out this happens on any road that is brown on the map.
In photo 3190, I have programmed a route and just passed from a gold color on the road to the brown section of the SAME road. As soon as I reach the brown, the route disapears.
In 3191 you can see my destination flag, but the route is still missing from the road I am on, I 66.
in 3192, as soon as I exit I-66 it recalulates my route and tells me where to go.
Has anyone else seen this happen? I have the latest CD, it also happened with the previous version..
