Question Rim sizes for CLK w209?

I want to put some 20' staggered rims on my 2006 CLK500, but i don't know if they will fit. Some people said yes and some said no, so im not sure about it. Can anyone tell me whats the biggest sizes rims i could put on it, and what kind of offset would it have to be. I also wanted the 3-4 inch staggered lip in the rear, I dont know if its possible. Can anyone help me out with some info???

Stick with 19's. 20's will give you a headache, it will rub and performance will suffer greatly. 19's are just right for bling and keepin' it real

I'd go with 19"s. The W209 Chassis is not the same size as the W220/W221 and not designed to accomodate such a large wheel.

For a mix of bling, performance (and ease of selling it later!) go with 19"s. They look sweet on a W209 Cabriolet

I also wanted 20's before, but went with 19's instead. But I think before you put rims on,you might want to consider doing a drop at the same time because after them 19's or even 20's go on,your car will look like an suv lol.So what I'm saying is you will deffinatly need to drop that bad boy

the wheel size will not affect cars height ... it simply means your tires will have less rubber and more metal area. The impact will be a stiffer ride and a little bit more road noise.

I agree exactly with you. From friends who have done 20's, they always switch to 19's after a few bent rims and blown tires....Even 19's can be tricky on an everyday driver. Keep your eyes peeled for pot holes.
