06 CLK500 Tail Lights on 04 CLK500??
Does anybody know if the 06 CLK500 rear stock tail lights work on the 04 CLK500. I dont wanna buy it and then find out that it doesnt work. So please help you guys. Thanks

had a friend who upgraded from a clk500 to a clk550 and he wanted to transfer his smoked tails on his clk550 and it didn't fit

when I tried them on my 2003 CLK500 they didn't work..the inner casing of the tail light assembly doesn't match up to the mounting points on the car. They have to be modified some way. I wanted these on my car so bad but was reluctant to mess with the casings.

That's because you have a 2006..he's asking about his 2004 2005 and up models share the same mounting points. But feel free to listen to whomever you like and when they don't fit you can sell them to me..lol..

I wanted them badly and got them tried them and they didn't fit. I also have a 2003..the new tails fit the 2005 and up models...

Did you try to install the red/smoke lights for the 500 or the red/clear lights for the 350 onto your 03 clk500?

I was under the impression that the '07+ CLK 550 tailights were red/smoke, while the '06+ CLK 350 tail lights were red/clear. I think 2006 was the only year where the CLK 500 and the 350 both had red/clear lights.

I was wondering if it would make a difference if 500/550 lights were put on a 320/350 or vice versa? Do the 320/350 and 500/550 series have identical casings?
