25 and just got my 08 CLK550 back in February. Must say I love the way it drives. Had an 04 E320 before this since 2007 and even though I liked the ride of the car and it handled well (and she was quite beautiful: granite grey metallic with appearance/sport package, amg style trunk spoiler, and pano roof), too many things would break down air suspension, SBC brakes, pano roof, and the infamous gas smell issue. And in the end, there was pretty much zero fun factor to that car. So I made the move. This car is a joy every time I fire her up I really only have one complaint and it's that the front seats have no lumbar support (not even manual; and the only option was the multicontour driver seat which is very hard to come by, at least here in socal).

My kid got his first MB when he was 16 and has it for nine months now without a scratch or a ticket. So far. Lol. Thankfully it's just a CLK320, but I'm giving my left kidney to the insurance company because of my cars and his age. The present I bought myself doesn't help insurance premiums either.

Hmm, the insurance on my CLK550 and the kid's C240 is less than my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee, and less than her previous car, a Nissan Murano. My insurance actually went down years ago when I went from a Toyota 4Runner to a W163 ML320. Insurance rates are based on the claim payouts for specific car models and the cost to repair them if damaged. MBZs are so safe, and the typical MBZ driver is more mature and a safe driver, so they have fewer injury claims than most other cars. Of course they are more expensive to repair than the average appliance, so that offset some of the savings from safety features. Also, with the SmartKey system, they are nearly impossible to steal unless you tow them away.

Oh, Porsche, yes, they are high on insurance. A friend of mine who worked for State Farm (and had insurance through them) bought a Porsche 928. They cancelled him - they said they were unable to insure it. He had no tickets, no wrecks, no kids, just along history of he and his wife being good drivers.

Hey guys, new to these forums!
Currently 16 and a proud owner of an '06 CLK500. Car has been in my family for a few years but was recently passed down to me. Been driving it since I had a permit - still no tickets or wrecks, loving every minute of it!

CLK 350
59
I'm 59, and own a '09 CLK 350 Cabriolet. And I'd guess the ages in this forum skew younger due to demographics of folks who join online communities more than a perfect reflection of the age of CLK owners.

After many years of BMWs, I purchased my first Mercedes - a 2005 CLK 320 Cabriolet with 23,700 miles on it - last January. Age 74. We are enjoying the car very much. It replaced a touring motorcycle.

My CLK 350 cab is my 4th MB and my favorite so far. As far as my age goes...I have underwear older than most of the CLK owners posting.
