I am very excited. I just purchased Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season tires (225/45-17 and 245/40-17) for my 2004 CLK 320. These tires are absolutely perfect. I have 37,000 miles on this vehicle and have had a constant right pull since day one. Have attempted to correct this via numerous alignments and tire changes (Michelin Pilot Sport PS2, Michelin Pilot Sport, Continental Conti Sport) in the past.
I now have no right pull, the tires are incredibly quiet, I love the tire profile and tread pattern, with a very high tread wear rating. Also a very good price point. Right pull has been a constant complaint for some posters. I am not a very aggressive driver so it is possible that this tire design is such that it has traded off a little bit of performance for quietness and less sensitivity to road grading that could lead to right pulling.
Is anyone else using these tires and what has been your experience?

i have the eagle gs-d3 summer tires and they are the best i've had. how are the all-seasons in the snow?
I live in Central Florida and will most likely never drive these tires in the snow. However, Tire Rack reviews and surveys give high snow ratings.

sounds good man, i am thinking about a tire change, and from what u have said about the quietness of the tire they sound perfect.
Be careful about judging the quietness of tires within first 3000 miles or so.
Virtually all non-winter tires are nearly silent on day one. It's day 365 that matters. Usually noisy tires start getting noise only about 25% through their tread life, so you will be living with noisy tires for the other 75% of the life.
I have Conti's, and their full life span noise has been great.

So have I, as factory fitted. With your experience, how many miles should I expect to get from them with a moderate driving style?Originally Posted by trikoid

I also just switched to the f1 all season and love them. Seem to be the perfect balance between noise, tire life, and grip.
moondust: with my short commute I had before, it was mostly stop and go, and I think I was looking at 10K life for those tires, so not so good.
I can probably double that with my new highway commute.
