I have Keyless go and believe it is the coolest thing ever!! no problems.
As for what it does, allows you to start, stop, lock, and unlock the car without a key....just push a button to start/stop and touch the door to lock/unlock.
If anyone is debating....debate no longer.

wow.........i wish my W208 does that. The W209 have all the cool stuff, yet the body line style is keeping me away.
I'm sorry to say this guys, but I asked the sales person to park the same color W209 & W208 side by side. Hands down on the W208 body style. Majority of all the sales guys favor the W208. I don't want to start a debate here. I'm just jelious that the W209 have all the cool gadgets and interior.

It seems to have something to do with built in character on the original model. (Not unlike comparing an original Mustang or T-Bird with the subsequent models) The new CLK does look great in black and a few other colors, but it is awfully bland in silver and most other common colors. I'm not sure why the darker colors look best on the new CLK, but may have something to do with the pillarless windows on the new version. In fact, to really complement the looks of the new CLK leave the windows rolled down and it adds to its looks about 100%, especially for the blander looking light colored ones.

The cabrio may be a different story.
From the spy pics I've seen so far of the new CLK Cabrio, I'd say that with the top down the new cabrio could be just as stunning as the original. Your side by side comparison would be fun to imagine for the two cabrios- maybe someone here could photoshop a pairing?
I have the keyless go, but i must admit, i wish they tied it to a credit card instead of the key. Since I am use to opening other cars with an alarm, I am always reaching into my pocket to unlick and lock the car; even with the keyless go. It is a great feature to push the button though, the car instantly lights up with a pleasent roar; especially when it is a little chilly outside.

I DON'T WAN T TO START A DEBATE EITHER BUT I FEEL PUTTING THE TWO SIDE BY SIDE THE 208 LOOKS DATED. JUST MY FEELING SINCE I HAVE TO PICK MY 2003 CLK 320 UP THIS WEEK AT THE DEALER BLACK OPAL AND IT LOOKS GREAT !!!
HOW MANY SALES PEOPLE HAVE YOU TALKED TO? I HAD TO GIVE MY TWO CENTS. I DEBATED ON THE 208 AND 209 TO PURCHASE. AFTER DRIVING BOTH CARS I FELT THE 209 WAS THE CAR I WOULD BUY.

Keyless Go - Credit car or fob?
One the MB website, they say Keyless go can be tied either to the key fob (bigger) or a credit-card sized transponder (smaller). Someone earlier on the this thread mentioned their CLK had the transponder on the fob. I assume the credit-card transponder is what they use on the higher-priced models (SL?). If that's the case, is it possible to buy a credit-card transponder for additional cash, or is it somewhat part of the car's design that it only works with one or the other?
I actually asked my dealer about this and they said that MB changed the credit card style since too many people broke it by sitting on it. To me, this sounds like it should be a profit cash-cow for MB, so why fix it?
