I have the "Sports Appearance Package" on my 2007 CLK 350, and I've taken it to the track twice this year. I took it in for state inspection this morning and the front pads and rotors are shot. I figure these are consumables that will need to be replaced from time to time, but a total of about three hours surprises me, especially the rotors.

I also have excessive wear on the outside of my left front tire. Again, wear here is normal, but I got more life out of the soft, performance tires I ran on my old car.

The car handles nice, but I can't deal with that kind of component life.
