Red face Some minor problems..

Hey so when I bought the car the SRS light was on. The owner told me that it just needs a new passenger seat belt which is $300 from mercedes. He took $500 off the price for that. Anyone else have that problem. I havent had time to go down to mercedes to get it looked at but he said he was 120% sure thats what the problem is. Recently I jave been hearing a little clicking noise when I turn the car on like somewhere above my feet. It only happens about 5-6 times when I turn the car on and then stops. Im almost positive it is a air conditioning duct flap that is moving and rubbing against something. Any help would be great.. thanks

You may want to check warranty coverage. Safety equipment get a super long warranty - I think it's like 5 or 8 years and lots of miles. My Volvo seatbelt was covered after 60K miles and 4 years old.

I had the passenger seat sensor replaced under warranty for the same problem. It could be the sensor instead of the seatbelt.

Have the dealer put it on their Star Diagnostic machine. For me it usually costs $100 and they can (almost always) see whats wrong right away.
