Is your car still under warranty? Dealer has replaced mine twice already witihin 3 yrs of owning the car. the 3rd brake light is known to break. Its worth a try to ask even if its out of warranty. IMO Good luck!

I replaced it myself. It's a bit of a pain to take off the trunk lid liner from the inside. Takes about an hour or two. Just have to be careful to have the right tools and to line up the double-sided sticky straight.

I believe the part number is 209-820-10-56 for $143 from the stealership.

It's for the entire light assembly, by the way, not just the lens. It's a sealed unit.

Inside are LEDs. I kept it, and have a nice red light that runs off 12V under my desk.
