clk500 (coupe) problems: 04 vs 05 vs 06 ? (considering purchase)

I've read about the various problems these cars have, often with the electronics. I don't know how common these are. Do most people have minor to major issues that need servicing? Or is there a good chance that I'll be ok?

If a car hasn't had any issues to 30-40k miles, is that any indication of its future reliability?

Are there significantly fewer issues in 05s or 06s?

This is a sexy car, and I'd like it...but I want some peace of mind. If I get a clean 05 or 06 still under warranty, should I be comfortable with such a purchase?

Your input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
