You have no match with the civic type r.even an clk500 will lose. The civic is a ton lighter, and it is capable of running high 12's quarter mile.

Stock motor on the type R is close to 200hp. I have seen close to 400hp as daily driver on those things.Just keep in mind, the civic is A LOT lighter than the benz and the civic hatch(type R) is even lighter.

0-60...6.8 seconds......it ain't hittin high 12's without mods.

as a previous owner of a 99-00 CIVIC hatchback Si or not; i can tell you that a stock one cannot beat a stock 320 or 500...
Getting a civic hatch to break 11s down a 1/4 isnt that hard when just swapping and boosting cost about 5grand, with a 150% increase in power...kinda makes you sick to your stomach doesnt it?

but with a modded/gutted hatch, one can destroy a CLK 55...been there done that with 25psi with a garret t4; rolling start at 50km/h.
heres my beast...RIP.
412whp @ less than 1900lbs....i'll try to find my vid to prove my point.

FYI : CTR = b18b = 180bhp = really short gear ratios.

Good luck bro. I have to say SORRY because the tittle says it was a CIVIC TYPE R but its not. The one I raced was the INTEGRA TYPE-R.

nice ride buddy...it always look good when you have your girl (from your pix.) sit next to you when u out there racing. Anyway, I have raced the Civic SI before I think it was a 98 or 99 and I dont have no problem with that even the Integra GSR with a few mods. And yea. really sorry about the tittle "it should be an Integra Type R not Civic". I will have my friend (CLK 500) runs with that guy this weekend and I will post the result

your boosted civic might out quick a 55 AMG but it would not have the legs to keep up past 100.

a buddy of mine has a ridiculously boosted civic. he pulls me just barely off the line until we hit about 75-80 and then i walk all over him. the 55 just keeps pulling.

his car is completely gutted and he is running a water to air intercooler set-up. if i had to guess i would say the car has about 400 crank hp.

A 400HP civic would eat any CLK. There is no way your friend's Civic has 400HP if the CLK 55 (with 360 HP) beat it. Probably less than 300HP - the stock 2.0L civic has 197. It's more than a little hard to add 200HP.

Unless he has nitrous...

Again I should have change the title of the Thread it should be an INTEGRA TYPE R not CIVIC TYPE R. No my friend doent have the 55 he got the 500 so yea..I let you guys know the result at the end of this week btwn 2000 Integra Type R vs 05 CLK 500
