I like the Akebono pads I have on my 209. Virtually no dust and they stop the car equally as well as the OEM.

What akebono part# did you get? I don't remember seeing any front akebono pads for our car listed on Tirerack.

Thanks!

M-BENZ - No squeeling or squeeking. I was and am very happy with these pads. I will definitely purchase them again.

I would also Say that it is very easy to change the brake pads out on our cars. If you can change a tire you can change the pads.

Any special tools needed to change brake pads or can you use standard metric wrenches and sockets?

I used EBC RedStuff on the CL and have been thoroughly impressed with the performance. Low dust and good stopping power for a ceramic pad. Really though, you can't go wrong with either EBC or Akebono.

It's very easy to change the brake pads, I did it with the help of my six-year-old. I found good instructions on the internet: http://www.cockeyed.com/lessons/brak...eshoes01.shtml

It would be a good idea to have a C-clamp handy to push back the piston. I didn't have one around so I used a woodworking clamp and that was OK too.
