CLK550 just lowered.
How's everybody doing. I just had H&R springs installed. Can you guys let me know what you think. Is the back too low. They use a #4 spring pad and took out the #3 pad. Tires do not rub and the ride is so much tighter without giving up to much comfort. Let me know what you think.

I bought them from Kauffmen tire here in Atlanta. I beleive they are Eurosport C63's. Offset is 32 up front and 35 in the rear. They clear the front brakes with no spacers.

They are 19 in 8.5 front 9.5 rear. Tires are 235/35 F and 265/30 R. They were 1950.00 including tires, removing the TPMS from the stock 17 in wheels, putting them in the new wheels and then remounting the old wheels. I think the wheels were like 250 each. I had seen them on ebay for a 1050, new. If I can find the link I'll post it.

Anyone had Eibach springs on before? I plan to lower mine CLK500 in the very near future, and want to know if should go with H&R or Eibach. I dont like the rear to sag too much compare to the front.

I'm currently running Eibach spring and Bilstein sport shocks. The ride is much smoother then the KW coil over kit i had it for just two weeks.

Don't assume that the front and rear wheel wells should look the same. I know the W203 C class has a designed-in stance that makes it look like it's dragging its butt. Check ride height at the rocker sills front and back.
If you level out based on space above the tire, you'll end up looking jacked up (IMHO).

We know that but you missed the point !!! The point here is that some of us want the even fender gap look. And to get that look, is by using the pad to do adjustment just like Mercedes used the pads to adjust the ride height.

I just called my dealer and they said that the #4 pad in the rear is the biggest pad they made for the Clk. You can try other Mercedes models rear pad if they made pad bigger then the #4. I used E210 E-class #1 pads for my Slk 7 yrs ago. Another way you can do, is buy a #2 or #3 pads and trim down the pad grove and use the base of the pad with your current #4 pads. This will work depending how thick you can go because the cup spring is very dip.
