upgrading the temp control unit

Is it possible for us to change the temp control unit to a new one? like say upgrade an 03 temp unit to a 06 and up one? is it possible? You know the climate control unit which puts the heating and ac on blah blah

No it will not work. It wouldnt fit into the alloted space in the center piece and I believe the wiring is different.
