WIDE OPEN THROTTLE!
I push my gas pedal all the way, that is WOT right. But than i can push it down a little more and it makes a clicking noise. Why did mercedes do that and what is the purpose of it?

Yes, that's WOT.
the clicking noise is the kickdown switch to make the transmission go to the lowest sear possible for your road speed. The auto may have already shifted down to a lower gear while accelerating but this drops it to the lowest possible for the current speed

Hate to bring back an older thread.
I have my pedal out at this moment and took the black button out. It is not hooked to anything.
Is it simple there to provide resistance so you dont always hit the kick down?
Honestly a person with pedal control would not need this.............
