Bluetooth for 06 CLK

Anyone know of any good plug & play or aftermarket bluetooth systems for our cars? My car has the navigation and Logic 7 sound system in it.

Without the pre-wiring (which 95% of CLK's did not come with) you are looking at $2k - $3k for extensive factory bluetooth wiring. I've been happiest with Parrot's after-market stuff for the money.

thanks for the input.
i think i'll go with the Parrot since Hawaii will prob be adopting the "no cell phone while driving" law.

Just got back from spending a week on Oahu. With the wonderful driving skills I saw displayed on H1, I can see that law coming soon.

It was my understanding that a 'bluetooth puck' could be purchased for around $800 to activate the car's phone controls but I did not look into it further.

Sort of off-topic but I spent a week driving an SLK55 on Oahu and it sure was fun with the top down!

the puck?
hmm i'll look into it.
yeah, the majority of hawaii drivers aren't able to multi-task...
unfortunately, for us few who are, the law is going to pass.

You don't just need a puck you need a complete phone system installed this was not a factory installed option I believe.

I suggest getting an after market radio/navigation. they look much nicer than the factory navigation and are cheap for what they offer. they have up to date and better looking gps, play dvds, ipod hookup and bluetooth for your phone

I like all the buttons on the side of my nav
soo unless aftermarket nav have that look , I don't think about
changing. (If I hadn't have a stock nav, I would go that route)

I was looking at aftermarket bluetooth like a Motorola devise...or some thing

anyone have a devise to share info on?

Looking at the previous posts above I think I already know the answer to this. I just don't know why. Our cars (mine anyway) has the phone hookups already installed for use with the Mercedes type motorola phones. Has anyone made a device that just plugs into this connector and provides bluetooth capability? If not why?
