First off, droppings may be a better term to explain what birds drop

Second, most people use something called a "quick detailer" and a good microfiber towel to clean up bird droppings. Various manufacturers manufacture what is called a "quick detailer" under different names. I really can't go through differences here, but you should search www.autopia.org for more car detailing information. I keep a bottle of Zaino's Z6 and a MF in my trunk for bird droppings.

Finally, I guess this will be moved to the detailing forum?

The best is water spray from a hose (no rubbing to let the dropping scratch the paint.) If no hose is near use one at a service station. Try to get the dropping off asap as the acids in the droppings damage the clear coat.

I am currently using the Zaino system, so I use Zaino's QD. But if you are using a carnuba or other sealant system, I would probably use their QD. As for a good online store, I really like CMA (www.properautocare.com) or autogeek.net

My advice to you, however, is to visit this forum's detailing section AND more importantly www.autopia.org --- Autopia has a WEALTH of information in its posts and archives. That's how this newbie (me ) learned about all the details of car detailing.
