umm is it leaking a lot? Why dont you just take it to a local shop and put it on the lift and have them see it. Maybe they can spot the problem.

you dont have to buy a new bumper for the quad exhaust, just have it cut on the other side from a body shop.

It the valve cover gasket. My 2006 Clk valve cover leaked at 10k miles and dealer replaced under warranty. I personally replaced the valve gasket covers on my Clk 430 at 125K miles. It an easy job but the driver side is a little bit harder because you have to disconnect the fuel line and drain it before you can remove the cover.

Hi Art! Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the CLK! I'm sorry I can't help with your problem, but it is hard to speculate without seeing exactly where the leak is coming from. Being an 05, check to see if there is any warranty left. If not, then it might be a good time to start making some friends at the dealership, especially if price is an issue.

Good luck!

You should always go with oem. Btw, the cover (there's 2, one on each valve cover)on top of the valves cover does not have gasket. Mercedes use gasket marker to seal it. Each of these cover has a breather hose connected to it.
