HELP Safety restraint service malfunction indicated...car wont start cause of it?
Why wont my car allow me to start ? The malfunction indicated is Safety Restraint service. Local dealer said possibly a sensor in seat belts or airbags????? Drove it one day everything fine then next this happens. I never hit anything or did anything wrong. Can someone please help me out. Thanks

On three occasions in the last three years I have randomly had a 'SRS malfunction' message (or something like it) with the SRS airbag light staying on and the dealer would fix it under warranty. It was usually a wiring issue and the car would still operate fine so your problem may be a wire or sensor gone bad in a more important place.
