Correct. It's part of a lighting package, I believe.

No problem buddy. I just looked it up, it's called the 319 Lighting Package and it was a $975 option at MSRP.

I paid $500 for one light from a junk yard, and bought the other one from am member here w/ a broken tab for $250.

I'm not trying to call BS here, but I really doubt you'd ever find Xenon headlights for $100. D1S bulbs cost $100 each.....

I realize its hard to believe, but I started looking in July and bought a total of 4 from October to December 2008. The prices dropped from 700 down to 300 for a set in that period and have gone back up. 3 were perfect and 1 had broken tabs that I bought for the bulbs and rear bulb covers as well as the ballast for a backup. I used several search keywords. Mostly clk xenon, clk500 xenon, and the best clk550 xenon as well generic like headlight. Also throw out the W209 with xenon. I got 3 using clk550 as many people forget after the most well known clk500. Mis-spell words. I got one that was lited as "xennon" with 2 n's. I paid $67 for the first, $121 for the second and $77 for the third. The other was $35 as it was broken. The last one was the best bargain as the bulbs were perfect and the ballast was too. I kept the covers to use on one that did not have them. I sold the D1s bulb for $50 and the ballast for $20. I also sold the rubber gasket for $22. I made big bucks on that one. I have bid on countless others as well. You have to look 3 or 4 times a day. I have 1 early style clk500 xenon available for a fair price if you are interested. Good luck.

Updated. Here is a pic of the light. $300 shipped. Yes I am being greedy. Its still below market price.

Thanks for letting me know. However, I do have a question. When I put in those lights do I have to use StarDS to set the computer to Xenon=Present? or can other auto shop's computer program do the same thing? Also, Does it only work when the computer is changed to Xenon=Present? or is there another way for it to work properly without setting the computer to Xenon=Present? Thanks.

Yeah there is another way, but its not the smartest. You can get the lights on by turning them on for 30 seconds BEFORE starting the car and they will stay on. I would not recommend it, but it "could" get you to a shop with the star diagnostics to code it properly. I did it once and it was ok, but If a code gets triggered then you have other problems ($$$) to deal with. Yes it must be done with the factory software, but there are independent shops that have it. Call around.
