Park Place MB wants $230 to set XENON to Present.

Damn it. After spending all this money on getting headlights, Park Place MB in Dallas wants $230 to Version code my car... WTF Almost every one I've read on there has had it done for free. Does any one know of any place in Dallas that can do this w/o a charge?

Thanks

Ryan

That's why Steve's deal was a great price. Some dealers will only do it for free if you know them, otherwise your SOL...

another alternative is to install some capacitors from radioshack. cost you maybe $15 and about 15 mins of your time

Go find independent shop who has StarDS, they will do it for free when you get some service.

well I just plugged them in to try it out. They don't turn on at all , no flicker or nothing. The high beams work, but that's it. Does Xenon present have to be on to have them turn on at all? I also tried to take my bumper off.

FAIL FAIL FAIL.

Try to turn it on before you put your key, then it will be turned on if it works. Stay more than 30 sec then put the key and start. This is the way I used before I did programmed.

So I had them turned to Xenon this morning. I still have the stock non xenon in.

I unplugged them and plugged them in to the Xenon lights. Every things EXCEPT XENON..If just one came on I could understand, but i would not think I have two bunk headlights.

Any advice at this point would really help. It's only the one plug right?

Man I'm in the dumps about this whole thing.

So I took the ballast in today. It was FILLED w/ water . They tried to blame it on me. I about lost my ****. We calmed down, they figured out it was there fault and we ended working a deal where they bought my Old M3 Xenons my current headlights, fixing a broken tab and installing them.

OEM XENONs installed ( and working) OMG about time.

For some reason I had to add a ground from the ballasts to the frame. Any way as you can see they are on and working fine. SUPER easy to adjust.

Jeez, so am I. I'm waiting for my buddy to edit up some sick photos he took. I know she is basically stock other than the 3 mods I've done, but a good photo makes all the difference.

Don't get me wrong, they look great! I want those! However, I did some research, and can't find them on any year of CLK's, but I did find them on a CLK AMG 63 on autotrader here in Canada. Congrats, you got one of the rare oem headlights, want to trade? lol

Donnie they are the factory lights on the 06 and up CLK500 and 550. I got a couple off ebay a few months back for less than 100 each. Gotta shop for bargains... I've seen dozens of them on there.

Less than 100 each? That's a STEAL, I doubt you'll ever find that again.

Less than $100 for xenons? That is unheard of. Also, they don't come stock with xenons, actually most Benz's don't. They are part of a package to my understanding.

Hey thanks for the info! Less than 100 for the whole headlamp? or just the signal lights? What keywords did you use to search for them? Gotta get me a couple of those!
