Remove Changer - Need Reprogramming??
I just got a 2008 CLK350 with a 10 disc changer in the glove box.
I never will use it and it takes up a lot of room.
I would like to remove it and sell to some needy person.
BUT...
I was told by MB service people that THEY would have to reprogram the communication system of the car if they removed the changer!!!
They also said it would take about an hour ($100+/hr).
I hope it is as simple as one screw on the right side, disconnect the power and fiber optic? cable, and stow the cables.
