first "official" type of article to come out on the new clk cab, last year we saw info coming out on the new coupes around this time just before its official intro at the march geneva show...so look for more such articles soon I would guess....
some points that stood out for me:
one touch operation for the soft top
remote control for top operation
CLK 55 coming out straight away, no more limited edition
window controls in the back for rear seat passengers
ac outlets in the back too
voice activation for navi..(if this holds up, my guess is we may
have an upgrade of the cd comand, or more likely have a dvd navi, as the only navi that benz offers that can take voice comands for navigation is the dvd E navi)
new options for cab like new coupe: bixenons, distronic, keyless go, parktronic etc...
the CLK 320 seems to be soldiering on for another year according to this article, this will be confirmed at Geneva next month.
now this for me is impressive, I have owned both a 430 cab and a 55 cab, the 430 did 0-60 in 6.9 according to this article the 500 should do 0-62.5 in 6.2, that translates to a 0-60 of about 5.9/6.0 thats as quick as my old 55 cab...the new 55 cab has a 0-62.5 of 5.4 that will translate to a 0-60 of about 5.1/5.2 which is where such an AMG car should be
as far as the pics, the back seats look better sculpted but seem to "stand up" more...
overall, looks to be another good seller, my guess CLK 500 59,500, CLK 55 77,500 (yes slightly cheaper than the last one, but this wont be a limited edition with designo interior and multipiece rims to jack up the price)
