This is intersting - my 03-04 CLK55 front rotors, and my 4 pot AMG rear rotors off the 05 CLK55 and 06-07 CLK63........are facing the opposite direction between the passenger and drivers side. These are OEM, installed by a reputable shop that knows their shet so I doubt there's a mistake. These must have the non-directional vanes mentioned above.

Well, in reality, the drilled/slotted pattern on the rotors rotation is not importance as the rotation of the rotors "vanes". If the rotors vanes is directional, it MUST install one direction ONLY just like directional tires. So, just look as the rotors "vanes", if it in the right rotation, then you shouldn't worry. It nice to look at the drilled/slottted pattern in the right rotation but cooling is all you should care about.

okay, thanks for all the advice and great discussion. just to give you an update on my situation:

i checked the stock rotors i had on the front now and, low and behold, the directional vents within the right front rotor were, indeed, going the opposite direction as all the other rotors. why i didn't check that earlier? i dunno. and why it's even like that? i dunno also. i'm not gonna pretend to understand it, but i guess there's a method to mercedes's madness. hahhaaa.

so in the end of it all, i put the rotors on as i received them from the company with 3 rotors spinning one way and the right front spinning the other way. i haven't had any noticeable problems thus far, but i guess only time will tell.
