ECU reset = more power, better shifts
Good replies from the E55,E500,CLK55,CL600,etc.... I didnt see any CLK500/209's over there. Anyone willing to try this on the w209 clk500 and get back to us. ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

I'm concerned about that as well. It took me like a whole day setting up and storing my seats/mirror settings. I don't want to have to go through that again.

The procedure is just to reset your thottle/MAf not the ECU where all setting memories is lost. Only worry if you ever disconnect the battery.

Yes, it does work on mine CL 55 and Clk 500. I also try it with my Sprint booster installed and it didn't work well with the Sprint booster. I have to remove the Sprint booster then put it back after the adaptation is done.

Yeah... it took some digging into. I was intrigued, so I read the entire post to get as much info as possible and that's rare for me

Actually tried this yesterday. Initial impression was the car seemed a bit peppier right after the reset. It pulled hard but that could also be due to the tranny shifting at higher rpms than before. I haven't played with the memory functions yet but my side view mirror still adjusted back down to my setting when doing a reverse. I'll check and see later if my memory functions stayed the same. I'd also like to add that I do baby my car when I drive it so I really can't do a fair comparison because yesterday was only one of few times that I've mashed the gas pedal to the floor
.
Now am I supposed to drive it like I stole it for a few miles in order for the ECU to adjust?

I tried this and it works. Nothing else was damaged during the process. I got a new tranny and torque converter last week after mine went bonkers and I can definitely say the downshifts are a lot quicker and the tranny always wants to goto red line. I am assuming whichever mbenz tech put in my new tranny, drove it slowly through the gears while they were test driving it to make sure there were no problems...

I swapped my OEMs with a forum member, the tint is only around the outer part, it's spray painted @ medium. Also using silver colored turn signal bulbs from Sixity Inc to complete the clear look.
