Blinker Lamp

How do I remove the plastic blinker lamp housing of the side mirror? Do I just pull it out from one end?

Thanks.

Bump, I have the same question. Also... is it possible to purchase just the clear blinker piece appose to the entire mirror assembly?

edit: you can purchase just the blinker from the dealership for like $37.

My friend who works in a MB dealership helped me to replace it.

Not easy at all. Have to remove the mirror glass and the inner cover first. Good that I did not attempt to do it myself.

I just did it a couple days ago and you do not have to remove the mirror glass. Instead, move the glass to where it is moved to its innermost position. That way the you have the largest gap at the outer edge of the glass and the mirror housing. You will see a very small stainless steel button. You will need to push this in and manipulate it so it releases the turn signal. Then just push out a little to loosen and slide the turn signal outwards.

Once the turn signal is out, you will need to remove that stainless steel part as it provides a friction fit into the mirror housing. It is a PITA to remove as there is a small stainless tab that needs to be pushed in while lifting the part off the signal. You will then need to install it on the new part. If you have stainless picks or dental instruments, it makes the manipulation of the pin/spring much easier into the mirror so it locks in place.
