Unhappy Problems so far.....

hi guys

what are all the problemss u get so far?
im about to get my 320 and want to see what kind of problems ur having...especially those who have jan build...

so far i have only heard...wipers misiing spots, motor mounts problem(i dont think 320 has it) and drift to right....
is the drift to right very noticeable?im very concerned with this problem as i used to have a car that drifts to right so badly that i get frustrated driving it and the car handles like ****...
and can the dealer fix it? i heard some people here bring it to dealer but the problem is still there?

thanks

Here they are so far Jan build 550 miles...

Wiper problems, drivers side missing spots and after repair passengers side now noisy drivers side ok.

Alignment Pulling to right not bad but was there, fixed with collateral damage.

Motor Mounts Fixed

Electric cooling fan, this is a new one, started today. First day to hit 85 degrees and noticed strange vibration in seats floors doors etc while waiting at a draw bridge, turned out to be the electric cooling fan going into high speed causing this vibration, obviously something is not right. The higher outside temp today set the fan into high gear. I noticed that on this car there is only one fan (no additional electric cooling fans like on the 208) just one giant electric fan and it's not connected to the engine, one of the blades actually has a metal clip on it to act as a balancing weight, maybe mines out of balance? Or I may have to have the fan replaced so they can screw up something else on the car

I would have figured after seven months of production the factory would have addressed these problems on the line, especially the wipers, motor mounts and alignment as there have been TSB's out

Otherwise I really do like the car its tight and very good looking inside and out.

I don't think you'll have the motor mount issue with the 320 and your car is one month newer so maybe they started correcting the problems on the line.

w hat is collateral damage?so the drift to right problem is actually an alignment problem?

damn.....with all these problemss i dont know if i can live with the car....the car is very nice...but if it has many problems...

btw my car was built on around 15-23 january.....i hope they already fixed everything but i doubt it......

do the dealers actually report all the problems to MB USA?
7 months and still no fix...thats sad...

Collateral damage is damage caused by fixing one thing and causing damage to something else.

Yes the drift to the right is easily fixed by alignment

The problems are not that bad...I could have lived with the slight drift and the motor mount issue for my car was not that bad, the vibration from the cooling fan going into high speed sucks though.

MBUSA issued techincal service bullitens to the dealers about some of the aforementioned problems so the factory knows about them, why they wait for so long to address them on the assembly line is wrong.

Look you car won't have the motor mount issue and maybe your wiper will be okay BUT if you need an alignment tell the guy doing the work if he scratches your rims he owns them!

picked up my CLK on Saturday....and I have the wiper problem too. The wipers are quiet, but there is a noticeable spot that is missed on the driver side.

This was very annoying given that I had to drive my car home from the dealership in a driving rain storm. Needless to say, my first investment after buying the car was a bottle of Rain-X.

Aside from that, everything else is great.

I think it was built sometime around Jan.27, but I am not sure of the exact date. My car arrived at the dealer Feb. 13.

I will look on the door label tomorrow and give you the exact date it was built.

I checked my car...and the stamp only gives the production month and year, not the day. But I checked the emails from my dealer, and his note indicated my car was finished w/ production on Jan.24.
