I agree, before I purchase my cars I have the dealer take off their logo, a license plate holder is one thing, but an actual object on my paint is another. They should be able to do it quickly and free of charge.

I think it's a bloody cheek of dealerships to attach logo's,stickers and even personalised number plate holders onto new cars.
Why should they get free advertising on my behalf.Tell them if they want to put that on they have to pay you a yearly advertising fee for the privledge.
As soon as I get my car I'm removing the dealers rear window sticker and plate holders.

Get it off as soon as possible so as not to damage the paint. I would probably have the dealer take it off, but here is the DIY:
1. Take a hair dryer and heat the emblem to soften the glue
2. Pour ivory soap around the edges of the emblem
3. Use a waxed dental floss and peel the emblem off from behind
4. Make sure there is a lot of soap on the dental floss so you do not scratch the paint
5. To get off any remaining residue, a petroleum car wax (nu finish or rain dance) should do the trick.

I am taking my car back to the dealer on Tuesday to get my wipers replaced (i have the dead spot problem like many others), and I will get them to take it off then.

the ones at my Mercedes dealership just pull right off, no heat or soap or anything. I know because my salesman goes around and rips them off all the cars he sells, he agrees with us that it is quite tacky.
