I can't understand your posts. I think you are trying to say that the stock system is a true cold air intake that looks fairly nice. So you took it off and replaced it with a pvc pipe under the hood?

sigh.
try taking out the fins inside ur airbox.
The stock box is supposedly the "best set up"

try...getting new intake tubes, or figuring something out for intake tubes...
stay tuned guys.

i wanna see your dyno sheets before and after mods.

because cold air intake and cat back on a V8 is doubtful to get you 30-40 whp.

so lets see em.

my point exactly, that is turbo charge car terriroty. Like on a 2jz, a Down pipe and full exhaust will give you that much RWHP gain. Also keep in mind that to properly guage HP increase you need to dyno the car as a baseline, then do the mods and dyno again the same day, same dyno, same load set up. If your doing a baseline one day, and then a install and dyno another day you can contribute 5%+ to varianace, even some dyno can read different just from the set up. A tune that wants to sell parts can adjust internal numbers and show a 20rwhp increase, same car, no mods, minutes from each run. Plus mercedes have a dyno mode that have shown a 5-10rwhp increase from having it just turn on/reset.
So basically what im asking and chrislis is asking is how you went about getting your 30-40rwhp claim from exhaust and intake. personally it is very hard to beilive, ive been around cars a while and I can see it in SOME (only some, like 2jz, RB's, rx7 FD), but i have never seen a proven 40rwhp on a NA car with just exhaust and intake. That is taken into consideration of dyno, same day runs, tuner, etc...

There's NO WAY 30 RWHP from just those mods. Please list your stock rwhp, mods final rwhp gains and dyno in what gears.

Pulley+intake+exhaust, total, i'm not sure if it'll give u 30, but with legit mods, it'll give u about 30.

I'm talking abt, Evo UDPS (10-12), Eisenmann or Remus exhaust with secondary cat+res delete, (5-8) Renntech intake (12-15). on a non amg NA V6 or V8.

thats about, 26-35hp gain. plus a bit fault margin, about 20-29 gain. yeah about right.

those few mods can get that kinda gain. It happened on my old C320 Coupe.

but...i'm not sure about that intake. it's really not "cold" and i doubt it'll run more air than a stock set up. It looks more like ur sucking in hot air.
