Wheel wells for W209
Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and hope someone can help me out. I need a new wheel well for my 2006 CLK. This is just the piece that makes up the lower front portion of the wheel well and then continues forward to the air dam. I bumped a curb and it snaped off the pop rivet. Then the air flow pushed the whole thing down and back into the tire (which basically ruined it).
I could install the darn thing myself, but I'm certain if I go to the dealer this will be a $700 repair. One from a junkyard would work just fine.
Does anyone have any ideas????
THANKS!

If I remember correctly, that piece is about $30 from my dealership. The pop rivets are $0.50 each.
Easy DIY

2004 CLK55 AMG
Same thing similarly happened to me recently on my clk55. I was on this freeway and all of the sudden heard this horrible noise. I immediately pulled over and looked at the car and couldn't find any problems. Got the speed up to about 40mph and it made the noise again, this time I was near an off ramp so I pulled off the freeway. Searched the car again and couldn't find the issue (I was looking for something major mechanically.) This time I drove it around the side streets and was able to reproduce it. Third time I checked I finally figured it out. Only when I was going fast enough the wind was enough force to push it down the front part of the wheel well into the asphalt.
Anyone happen to know the part number (Driver's Side)?

This has also happened to me.. usually mercedes will install the part if you buy it from the parts dept for free under good will.. but 2nd time it happened they would not install for free so i did it myself... quite easy but can be tricky unless you take the wheel off.
