im sure som1 here has done this or atleast knows how and id appreciate it if they would share
does anyone know how to install a backup camera? (it wasnt even an option sadly) and to make it viewable on the comand screen.not a seperate sn.
also how do we enable dvd playback on the screen?
lastly
is it worth it to install and aftermarket backup sensor or just to buy the mercedes parktronic system?
i need to run a wire from the grill to the inside of the car. i believe i have to go through the firewall. does anyone know if theres any other way to get inside?

first you will need to get a Euro unit and then get the command codes to unlock the dvd in motion playback feature, the US unit doesn't have access to DVD play back nor does it have special command code for w209 CLK

hmm..thats not wat the dealer/tech guy told me,they told me its possible but they cant do it legally, but there is a way to enable it..who knows

i search all over the web , all MB forums and the only way ppl got it done (IN A W209 CLK MODEL) was using a UK unit in a US model car. I even ask my MB tech ( which does work outside the dealership for side money) he clam the CLK doesnt have a dvd drive to support dvds which cant be able , and i have to get UK Command unit which have the DVD player in it so idk i wish you find out other wise cause i what to able mines too lol

its not that loud with straight pipes is it? i just like how it sounds to be honest.. any way to get that sound without making it illegal..im gonna check my local laws,but from i remember reading somewhere. as long as it doesnt disturb others it should be fine.
