Astropat Headlight build thread

Just an update... Got one side installed... Had to stop installing because one of the tabs repaired by the guy I bought them from on eBay (Not Gary), broke again. So I'm going to fix them up today and hopefully get the other installed tonight or tomorrow.
They look freakin' awesome, but they made my foglights look terrible. I ordered a matching HID kit for my fogs last night. I was going to hold off till I get kit for my car, but I figured the $60 would be well worth it.
BTW, the W203 link that Gary provided me to perform the install was really straight forward. We would have been done in about an hour and a half and I hardly ever turn any wrenches.

Repaired the broken tab easily with some epoxy and installed them last night. FINALLY!
I'll post some pictures after I fix my sidemarker (which was broken after my clears were stolen), install my HID fogs which should be in soon and give my car a wash. I'll see if I can find a decent camera to shoot pics with.

Here are some teasers. It was unbelievably hard to take some shots of the halos while illuminated. Only had my little canon point and shoot and my garage to shoot. Really don't do them justice.
Anyway, without further adieu...

It turned out great! My favorite part is that it is a custom job, someone would have to go through a lot a hoops to mimic it. Since you are planning to go the AMG kit route, may I suggest upgrading the fog lights to projector type and adding a 8000K HID bulbs (8000K bulbs for the low beams if you haven't already done so). Very Nice!

Thanks for the compliments. My hat goes off to Gary for executing this job for me.
@Klinh Yeah, it is 6000K. Once I installed them and turned them on, I already ordered the matching 6000K HID kit for my fogs from hidextra.com
@2MCHAR I'm on the same page as you. I want projector fogs, but will do them in 6000K.
Hopefully in the future, I'll have some better pics or you'll see me driving around LA one of these nights.

^my pleasure pat, it took quite a while to figure out the LED halos for it to work, I refuse to use CCFL and only wanted LEDs, so we got limited in terms of manufacturers. my props to the shop that was behind it, impressive auto center. The owner had to do some electric calcs to figure out the amount to resistors to use without overheating, and without burning the LEDs!
but it looks so sexy pat! AMG front bumper and you're gooooood!
