Astropat Headlight build thread
So Guys,
Pat sent my shop his headlights a month or so ago (sorry for the long wait!) but this is how it's coming out.
1. Alabaster White color Matched reflectors (partial "brushed" left on the reflectors)
2. D1S kit removal, D2S 6000k Kit retrofit with Error Code Canceler
3. Custom made 60-LED single sided halo kit.
4. headlight tab repair kit
Currently, the reflectors are being coated.
At first, I did not recommend the single sided angel eye for Pat, but after seeing it be put on the car, I strongly recommend it, It's not those crappy CCFL angel eyes you see on Scions or Mazdas, these are 60-LED halos, so these are good looking ones!
It's also such a pain to find a correct halo for the MB Projectors. it's a pain!
here are some pictures.

[QUOTE=advans;3831402 I'm feeling it, and thinking about doing something like that too![/QUOTE]
I'm feeling it too. My only concerns, the LED get burn out quick if you don't get the voltages right. It would be pain the in the *** if it ever need to be replace. Btw, can you let me know where I can get a set of those LED? I'm think about using it for my foglight. You can drop me a pm for the info. Thanks.

We had a reputable angel eye distributor custom make us these halos, thats why it took so long! Many E46 guys "buy" their angel eyes from these guys, located in Cali.
As for the LED voltage, we tapped this into the city lights, and I think the voltage should be right, we had the electronics+lighting department in the shop professionally wire these
when I'm off on friday, I'll be in the shop to take pictures of the finished product, as well as test fitting them for pat on my C55

It's probably best that I don't have friends that are into cars or drive bimmers... haha. I ran through the thoughts of whether it would look tacky or not, or whether other people would like it or not, but in the end... I really wanted it done and I'm just thankful/lucky to have met Gary through these forums and get this done for me.
I ain't trying to dick ride or anything, but Gary is the man. Can't wait to throw these on.
P.S. Anyone wants to buy my OEM ballast and bulbs?

^no problem Pat. I'm always here to help members out.
I'm sorry it's taking such a long time. We had a Matte Out project right before you shipped us the wheels
but My goal is to ship it out this coming Saturday, if not, Monday (depends when the check clears too). But. ASAP it is!
BTW, the tabs finally came in. I'll bring them to the shop after work tomorrow

Oh man! Alcantara was going to be my last mod to finish up the interior. But, I am not as good of a DIYer as you are. I can't wait to see what you guys end up doing, either way I'm sure it'll be sick.
