List of Repairs! Bad Economy! but I'm handy

First off I'd like to start out by saying thank you for everyone's help with the Crank Position Sensor.

Mercedes-Benz of San Diego wanted $525 to do it. I was able to buy the part, and since I didn't have a female torque wrench, I tipped the local body shop to do it for me for $60 and a 30-pack.

Well worth it in my book.

In any case, I now have a list of repairs that I need to have done because they either want more money, or the bushings are truly cracked and leaking.

Below is the list of repairs and how much they want. I started thinking that I could most likely do the Fuel Filter and the Air Filter myself.
At least I'd save a few bucks, Any other suggestions or links to these repairs would be most appreciated. Thanks everyone.

1. REC. SPARK PLUGS $375.00
2. REC. FUEL FILTER $675.00
3. REC. AIR FILTER $125.00
4. REC. BRAKE FLUID REPLACMENT $120.00
5. REC. FRONT BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS. $683.00
6. REC. TRUST ARM BUSHINGS $550.00
7. REC. VALVE COVER GASKETS $732.00

Use the search function in this forum to find all the DIY articles. I just bled the brakes on our 06 C230 (Same process as a CLK). The brake fluid was $20.00 from the dealership and the Motiv Brake bleeder was about $50 -$60 from Amazon. Took about an hour. Easy job. While you're at it, just replace the pads and rotors. should be around $250 - $350.00 for parts. Should take a couple of hours to do this. Air Filters, same thing. Go to AutohausAZ (About $35.00) or order K&N filters ($75 - 90.00) and do this yourself. Easy to do. Most of the general maintenance on these cars is easy to do. Good luck.

Do it yourself or find a Mercedes dealer mechanic that does stuff on the side. You should save up to 50%

I did the spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, and crank position sensor myself and only spent like around $200
