Thought you guys might be interested in this extended warranty quote I just received from Warranty Direct. Note with special interest the "Elite Plus" option which gives me 4 year/60000 miles full coverage for "only" $13,761...are these guys kidding ???!!!! what a rip off.

Most of the quotes I have been getting are in the $4000 range but dont cover the known items that go bad with these cars e.g. electrical so I am either going to self fund this or trade the car

Can anyone recommend a 3rd party warranty (exclusionary) coverage for my 04 clk500 with 53K+ miles on it? looking for 3/4 yr up to 100K. The dealer is telling me that I have some leaky valve covers and is charging about $850. Thanks in advance...!

damn $850!?mine is leaking on the left side too. they've got two good warranties Ive heard of, mercury insurance www.mercuryinsurance.com and the chrysler one. they both seem like good deals

just go to the dealer
i got my clk500 with extended warranty
it was around 4k for 60k mile i think can't remember
but the service was pretty good
i only paid 100 dollar when car transmission went wrong
plus rental for C class

The Chrysler warranty looks good from what I can tell. The guys on the AMG forum speak highly about this warranty.
