Question Connect Ipod or Sat Radio in USA?

Anyone know the best/cleanest way to connect either an Ipod or Sirius or XM radio to a 2004 CLK 320?

I read the manual last night and it appears I can get a Sirius satellite tuner that is built for the radio from MB dealers like I did for a Navigator.

Still don't know about the Ipod thing though.

Going around in circles. As to Ipod, just went to a site recommended on another forum and found two compatible interfaces. One for $450 and one over $650. http://www.icarkits.com/advanced_search.php

Now trying to find the SAT gizmo. The radio does have a SAT button and the manual says it will interface with a satellite radio, but it is extremely vague. I guess I will ask the dealer and they will want $1200 or $1400 plus for it as usual.

When I ordered an iPod adapter kit for the wife's Audi from DICE the webpage said MB also. You might do a search for DICE iPod Mercedes. The Audi kit plugs into the back of the radio between the HU and the CD changer. Cost was $110 on Amazon.

Wow, that's a lot cheaper. Thanks for the tip.

Apparently it's a bit more complicated for you car from what I briefly found.

The OEM factory kit that I bought for my '06 w203 was a lot less.

I was just figuring that out. It looks like there are two entirely different applications from the same company. One is a high quality FM transmitter that will also plug into the antenna input on the back of the radio. It is the $130 unit. Then there is the expensive one that replaces the CD changer and allows you to operate the IPOD (hidden in the glove box) with all the CD controls on the dash and on the steering wheel. Sounds good.

The wife's Audi is using a Sirius adapter into the FM antenna lead and I can't say that the sound is bad. I plan to switch it to the direct feed iPod adapter when I get back to the states, but we've lived with the FM method for the past two years without any complaints.

I should also add that the sound is better than my OEM iPod adapter on the w203.

Well, I got frustrated and went cheap and it worked out pretty great. I got one of those $15 cassette adapters and stuffed all extra wire (guess I should just splice it and get rid of all the extra wire) on top of the cassette and left about three inches coming out the side of the door and pulled it down between two buttons. So I just plug the iPod in and stick it in the open slot where I keep my phone. Looks clean and sounds perfect. Just select Cassette and listen. Also allows me to plug it into my Droid2 and listen to Pandora Radio (the coolest thing in the whole world) and run the navigation application at the same time. If you set the volume output on the navigation program to medium and adjust the music where you like it with the car's volume, the music softens for each turn-by-turn instruction and then comes back up. It's pretty neat hearing the navigation come through the stereo.

The wheels on the car in your signature. Those are exactly what I'm looking for. Can you help? What's the tire/wheel combo dimensions and the type and source of wheel? I've been banging my head against the wall on this.

They are just the stock wheels that came on the car.. They are 17" all around but they are staggered. Front is 17" x 7.5" and the rear is 17" x 8.5".. Tires sizes are - 225/45-17 (Front) and 245/40-17 (Rear)..
