CLK 500 foglight damage!!
Good day everyone. My fiance's car was hit by a large rock right on the passanger's side foglight. Needless to say the light is history. It broke the glass into a million pieces and the bulb was destroyed as well. I am looking for a replacement unit for this. MB wants $300+ to replace this. Let me know if anyone knows where I can purchase the part and hopefully install it myself.

It is an 06 and it is the circular foglight that goes with the AMG apperance package, not the oval one. Yes, it does have the chrome trim around it.

I installed my HID kit the other day... Don't know if it's the same cause I don't have the sports package, but mine was really easy. Just remove a couple of the push pins to pull down that liner and access the fog lights... then there is an 8mm bolt on each foglight. Should just be plug and play.

Guys, this light setup says it is for the left sidebut I need the passenger side light. Are they interchangable because I am pretty sure left is the driver's side (correct?)?

I think you are right "left = driver" and im not sure they are interchangable or not ...hopefully someone can chime in.

Why don't you uninstall the broken light and check the part number on the back of it... you can order on it on parts.com or buy it off the dude on ebay.

On the 2006 Clk 500, 99.9% the mounting points are the same. To removed the foglight, you need to remove the ONLY lower of the bottom of the wheel liner and the front foglight cover. Then you need to remove 4 screws of the foglight from the inside/under the bumper. When re-install back the 4 screws, install the screws from the front of the foglight so that next time you have to change out the bulbs, you don't need to remove the lower bottom wheel liner. Btw, for the same prices, why don't you just buy the right side (passenger side) it from www.parts.com. I got it mine from them.

does parts.com sell OEM parts or are they aftermarket? I know these lights are Hella. Also, do they include the light bulb as well?

Mig1980,
I just remember another thing. You need to buy the right side because the 2006 foglight bulb is offset a little bit to one side of the housing. It might look funny if you install the wrong side housing.

I thought so because of the way they are shaped internally, you're right. Do you know if the part comes with the bulb from parts.com? Also, is their a phone to reach the company because I could not find one on their website.

Nope...and I never call them before. I did everything through e-mail. Here a word of advices, never order anything for your car without giving them your car VIN#. This is the only way you get the right parts when order Mercedes parts.
