Hello/Introduction

Hey Folks,

Just wanted to introduced myself in W209 land. I just picked up an '08 CLK550 Cab and have been lurking about the site for a few days. I promised I wouldn't mod this car. I swore to the heavens. Wouldn't you know it, four days after purchase and my knuckles are nice and bloody from changing the city light bulbs.

Yeah, well, it always seems I get the bright idea to work on something when it's 20 degrees outside and my fingers are like little frozen sausages.

Congratulations on your purchase!

And well done for getting stuck in with adding your personal touches.
Do you have any pictures of your car?

I'm going to take some once it can stay clean for more than ten minutes. I'm in the Philadelphia area and it's like driving through a saltstorm every day because of the record snowfall we've received this year.

Ah man, tell me about it.

My car is tucked away in the garage at the moment.

The amount of grit & salt piled up all over the roads and in the gutters is ridiculous.

Haha... I think about that more and more everyday. I'm looking at the prices now at what's in the classifieds. With the amount of money spent already, I could've gotten an AMG with plenty of options and slammed it.

Once you start, you can't stop!

Every time I think about that I start to tear a little.. I wish I could stop, it's like a disease.

I am familiar with the disease. I'm not new to modding, and realize that eventually all of what I do will be worthless and is essentially a exercise in burning cash, but alas I am vain.
