is that where i should be cutting off the resonator and secondary cats?

 

What year is your car? I got a 07 and i didn't have those two bubbles things on mine....mine came with only 1 and it ended up not being a resonator, it was just a bubble silencer along with the long boxies thing.

went to get a custom pipe made to replace those unnecessary items lol

meineke wanted $275 for it.

 

is that really ? $275 for cutting those off and replace with straigh pipes ?

I'd think $275 is a deal for mandel-bent pipes and weldwork.

That's the thing -- I wouldn't trust chain with doing something like this and not ****ing it up.

like I have suggested, go to a more reputable muffler shop, John at Impressive Auto Center can help you.

Those cheap muffler shops uses those cheap pipes, next thing you know, there's a hole in it, especially in the salt covered new york roads.

If you slice and re-attach straight pipes, will the computer catch it? My old Honda threw an engine light when I did that.
