Since I am the OP I thought I would chime in and say thanks to those that posted with ideas.

The spoiler I bought was from ebay for 299.00. It is CF and had a made in Germany stamped in the mold.

The fitment is as near perfect as you can get. I am very particular about things like that.

I have a friend of mine that has a CLK 500 that had purchased the OEM deck spoiler from the dealer at a cost of 660.00 including the paint. No install. His fitment is no better or different than mine.

Guess I was lucky in my choice from the 100's of people selling them online. I am out of town on business, but will post up some pictures when I get back. M

damn 300 bucks for a spoiler is kinda expensive. It better be perfect fit. lol
