From Eisenmann to AMG?
Hi guys, if you have a moment, please chime in.
I've had Eisenmann street muffler for about 5 months. It's good when at 1/2 throttle and up, nice refined throaty noise, but when in traffic and taking it easy the drone at 1500 - 2500 RPM is just too much. At first it used to clog my ears and give me headaches. soundproofed the trunk a bit and helped.
But with so much driving at low rpm i can't handle it any more. I am starting to like driving my wife's 325!
So i'm thinking of getting an AMG muffler. Do you think it will still provide a better flow then stock CLK500 muffler and keep the noise at somewhat original levels?
On that note do you know what AMG models would have the muffler that firs?
I'm also toying with an idea of adding a Flowmaster 50 series muffler instead of the resonator, because of the way they are built i'm thinking that will quite down the drone.

Same thing as saying Mercedes makes C230 and C63. just because its the same company does not mean you get the same thing.
An AMG (line) of mufflers are a bit less noisy than Eisenmann. And that's what i'm looking for, to quiet it down a notch on the drone.
