06 CLK Sport Pedals?
Hi - Newbie in AZ w/ a question for my soon to arrive 06 CLK-500 Cabrio. I have searched the forum for topics and see some on the Sport Pedals, but I need your help for this model.
I'm told by MB Parts that the 2006 and newer accelerator piece would require the entire apparatus and isn't an easy 'slide over the pedal' type of cover.
Do you have any other options or suggestions based on experience? Thanks so much (and for your patience with the new guy).

Thanks - I'm looking for all three (ebrake, brake and accel). Could it be different for my year? Does it look like it would fit onto my attached pic?
I appreciate your help (and have seen many of your posts across the forum).

These pedals should fit you car no problem. The gas isn't just a slide on , it does require a little work. The pedal comes with a plastic piece attached to it. It looks like the pic below. You don't need the entire piece in your diagram. I will post the part #'s when I get home

Well, what are your thoughts? Would the above part numbers work? Can they be (or need to be) retrofitted for the 06?
My thought was that these pedals are a very classy and sporty look to complement a black interior. They DO look great. I'm just curious, are they do-able?

You asked me a questions based on the part numbers. I think we need to see the parts itself to determine if it work. I installed a couple Sprint Booster in the pass and I can tell you that you might destroy the gas paddle assembly before you able to slide the old rubber out to install the new one. The post-2006 Clk and C55 gas paddle is just like the pic in the diagram. Now on the other two paddles, it wouldn't be a problem.

Thank you guys for the help. I still do not have the car yet...it is on the truck heading my way. I will take pics as soon as it arrives as a reference. (That's why I used diagram.)
I have also noticed this type of pedal. I am using the pic from elsewhere on the forum; I hope it is ok. They are clearly not my first choice, but has anyone used this type and experienced the drilling?

I had a lot of trouble installing the gas pedal. Not too hard to take it out, but a bit hard to put it back on. Hopefully you have a lot of patience. and I def prefer the OEM pedals than the drill ones. That's just me though.

Since this looks like a large apparatus, I guess the dealer's rough pricing, 'around $200 for just the accelerator' must sound about right. Did you pick it up through a dealer or does anyone have any suggestions about finding it elsewhere?
(I DO want all three, but it seems that the 2006 or newer need a very fancy gas pedal, not simply a cover.)

i have a 2005 clk500 and I got mine from parts.com. All three of them cost less than $50. The e-brake and the brake pedals are shoe (cover) type. The accelerator is the piece in Dynamite's picture. I wouldn't pay $200 for it, it kinda makes the mod too expensive for its purpose. I don't go to dealer either. the accelerator you gotta unscrew the middle bolt, unhook the accelerator assembly, once you get it out and you will see the plastic bolts holding the accelerator pedal. swap it out and put the assembly back. Hook it back is kinda tricky. The part numbers start with 203, so they are technically for the C class, but it works for my car and many other CLKs. Good luck bro.
I like the look ALOT! Thansk to everyone for the follow-up.

Any chance my dealer would order the parts from a C class and consider the install?

Thanks - I really appreciate your time. It would make great sense to do it. Any chance you know the 203 item numbers (or is this a complete newbie q? - do the rest of the numbers run the same as those noted above) to order from parts.com?

A 203 430 00 84 PARKING BRAKE
A 170 290 01 82 BRAKE PEDAL
Here are the part numbers. Once you have theses numbers you can just type them in the website to search for them. You need to provide them with your vin number to order parts. I gave them mine real vin number. Since these the C and CLK are very similar in many areas, they prob share the same part numbers. These pedals also works for the E-class as well actually. if you got money like that, then go ahead as the dealer, i don't see why they wouldn't wanna take your money. But you should def do the e-brake and brake pedals yourself. If you are having trouble with the accelerator, maybe ask the dealer or an independent Mercedes Shop. It shouldn't take them longer than 15 mins. Good luck.

Dynomite05, Klinh and Guofan - you guys are awesome.
I'm so new to all of this that I'm not expecting any major mods my way, but just looking for nice touches to complement the looks.
I will keep on the lookout for all of your tips and suggestions on all of the other threads, too.

great man. I know that Dynomite and Klinh know a lot more than I do. Since I just did my pedals, I just wanna give you some tips. This is what we do on forums man, try to mod/fix our cars without visiting the dealer as much as possible. haha
