Quick question: How many keys did a 2006 CLK come with?
Hi guys! I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2006 CLK 350 and noticed that the owner only has two keys for it. Is this what the car was delivered with in 2006? I've had an E280 from 2000 and it came with two thick keys and one thin, if I remember correctly.

I'd like to know that there aren't any keys for my car floating around elsewhere, so I'd be grateful if anyone could answer my question.

LOL talk about being picky when buying a used car. New cars are delivered with two keys. One with a black plastic piece where you release the mechanical key, and one is gray. Usually, the black one is the master key, but there is no difference.

Thanks for the answers guys! Bought the car today and it's friggin' awesome! ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
It's not about the key itself, but what it can be used for. I don't like the thought of a key floating around and that whoever has it can just drive off with my car, unlikely as it may be. I would call it being cautious, which is something I think I'm entitled to when putting down 30k on a used car.
