Disable Lowbeams from coming on at startup

How do I disable the low-beam headlights from coming on when the engine starts? I have a Canadian Clk320, and from what I've gathered so far they are different than US-spec as they have to be DRL compliant. I am wondering how to disable this because I don't want my xenons (retrofit) to be coming on at every startup.

Well, I don't know if this is the same for Canadian-spec cars, but in the US...our DRL setting can be changed via the dashboard using the steering wheel controls. It's in the lighting submenu, and you can change the headlight setting to either CONSTANT or MANUAL.

But, I don't think your car can do this because it'd be very easy for people to turn off their DRLs. The only thing I can think of is to have someone with a STAR DIAG system try it change the setting in the computer.
