Is window convenience feature an option?

Book seems to indicate the feature of using the key fob to open all windows and top is standard - but it doesn't work on my car. Is it an option? Of course same goes for closing all.

Straightforward right? Just hold the unlock button and everything should open?

I believe it's standard on all models. At least newer ones. In my model year the windows and sunroof can lose 'sync' usually due to battery issues (car's not key fob). If the OM has a procedure to resync those, try it. That should restore the feature.

I think you need to stand to the side or the rear of the drivers side door handel so the IR beam can be read by the car. It will also only work if the car had previously been locked.

Done that - went right up against the IR receiver, plus fresh batteries in the fob - doesn't work. Mind you the lock-unlock functions work fine even from a great distance.
