Whats going on with my car!!!
Hi
So I own this CLK 55, couple weeks ago the whole car stared to shake and the idle is a bit irregular so since I used to own a CLK 320 I know the routine for a shaking engine
I went trough this procedure
1. Cleaned the MAF sensor
2. Cleaned both air filters and the airbox
3. Went to the garage got my engine mounts checked both OK
4. Looked for vaccum leaks with break cleaner ... none
next thing I did was to remove a park plug it seemed pretty finished
my question is can sparkplugs cause the whole shaking and little idle fluctuation WITHOUT sending a checkengine for misfire?????

i have a clk 320 98 and my car was shacking really bad and when i was idleing i would here a raddle in the engine, it was a misfire in the spark plug with a bad coil pack changed all coil pack and a full tune up reccomanded to get all parts for benz from NAPA if u dont want to spend an arm and a leg from ray catena, and my car was running out standing beside my trans thats getting changed, most likely its your coil pack or a bad spark,

2005 clk500
My 2005 CLK500 had a shake
When I bought my 2005 lk500 it had a miss fire. Could mostly tell when stopped at a light it would shake/miss fire. I took it to the dealer and they replaced plugs and wires. Dont forget to check your plug wires, from what I hear , it's common @ 50,000-100,000 miles.
