matte black vinyl

Did this with a buddy over the span of a couple weeks:
-matte black vinyl
-smoked tail lights/turn signals
-spent a total of around 20 hours
-original paint was silver

Looks good, I like how the headlights look on the matte. Was your car originally black? If so I probably would of left the roof glossy black.

haha thanks.
-car was silver to start off with.
-I actually tinted it, but I guess it was so sunny it didn't show. I got 30% Huper Optik all around.
-Ya, a lot of time/patience. I think I spent around 20 hours on it.

I was considering the Sonic ones but then I ended up getting something local to me.

I have Forgestar F14's currently.

If you are on H&R spring then why is your rear so high? What # pads are you on? I'm on H&R's also

Thanks! Looks good. I wish I could afford HRE P40 or BBS CH-R (if they even make those in 19" for MB) but these Forgestar are very close to what I like.

dynomite05:
I actually added two spring pads on the rear. A #4 and the stock #1/2. The rear actually isn't as high as it appears in the pic, there is only a two finger gap between the tire and the fender.

Two finger gap is pretty high for having 19's. What's the point of having H&R's? For that you could of gone with Eibach.

I think having a matte black car only works with roadster or those really high priced cars...

for others they look like pre-painted cars...

especially for civics..

i generally dont associate CLK's with civics but maybe thats just me

although i will say i think it would look better on a 55/500/or one with sport package, or really good on a 2006+ 500/550/63

lol... i drive a CLK too! throwing a civic in the picture is the easiest way for me to say the difference between a top and low class of cars...

looks like you did a nice clean job.

having said that I think it would look better if you had a more aggressive front bumper.

looks good, but the car is not aggressive at all. with a CLK63 or 550 bumper, the matte black would look fab.

haha ya i totally agree with you guys about a more aggressive front bumper - that's probably the next step for me. Any sites you guys can recommend for an AMG bumper? What is your take on the replica bumpers and fitment issues?
